Summary:
Ashitaka is a poweful figure in his clan. While stroling the country he comes upon a possessed demon attacking a few girls. However attacking the beast caused him to be cursed and marked to die. He leaves his village and seeks a cure for the curse. He comes upon Tatara village where firearms are being developed. Eboshi the leader needs land for development but the forest spirits keep replanting trees. She uses her firearms to scare them away. San, the young girl raised by wolves, is outraged by the destruction of ther land and tries to kill Eboshi. This is the struggle between man and nature that will determine the fate of the two worlds.
My Opinion:
This movie is probably on of my favorite anime films so far. The story and animation run smoothly together and this is one you'll remember. I bought it and added it to my growing collection.
Rating : PG-13 Parents Cautioned - There are a few mature themes about this movie. There's also some decapitation and loss of limbs which might be a little disturbing.
